KONAMII 2015

The most talked about charity event of the year; Konamii finally took place on the 25th of July 2015 at the Campos mini stadium, Igbosere Lagos Island. 

Konamii is all about creating happiness for others in the most endearing ways. It is an annual charity event which aims at generating funds to support orphanages in Nigeria and encourage the youths to be more charitable to society. Also, donations made at the gate will be given to orphanages participating at the event.

The beneficiaries of this year's event are 30 children; each from 5 different orphanage homes in Lagos:
- Lekki Motherless Babies Home, Lekki
- Love Home Orphanage, Magodo
- Heritage Homes, Anthony Village
- Sought After Orphanage Homes, Ajah
- Little Saints Orphanage, Akowonjo

The 3rd edition of the first ever inter-orphanage homes football competition/ charity soccer fiesta kicked off at exactly 10am with the opening prayer, National Anthem and an opening speech by the President.

The Hosts for this event were Larryforeman; OAP of Unilag 103
1fm and Xclusivemic; MC and Compere. The football matches kicked off with the orphanage kids segment which was then followed by Teams Covenant, Redeemers,  Chocolate City, All Stars, Lagos and Konamii.

The highlights of the event were performances from 2 celebrity artistes. Seyi Shay performed "murda" and Koker performed his hit song "owo lo fin do something o".

 Other celebrities in attendance were: M.I Abaga, Di'ja, Sense Duchess, Naeto C, Solid Star, Rugged Man, AY the comedian, Adams VJ, Ayojay, Dammy Krane, Dj Lambo, Dj Rome, Dj Sketch, Charity Owoh, Dj Baj and Steel among others. 

Live and Twitter commentary of the event was done by Big Dreamz and Ifektive. The grand patron for the event was Chief S.O Sanusi who also presented the awards to the winners.
