SHAAPERA WINS TECNO OWN THE STAGE KARAOKE COMPETITION
Shaapera Mnena Makepeace has officially been declared the winner of the maiden edition of the Tecno Own The Stage Karaoke competition.
5 Kenyans, 5 Nigerians and 5 Tanzanians battled it out on one stage for 16 exciting weeks of intense mentoring, singing and dancing.
The grand finale of the event was held on Sunday 7th February 2016 at Ultima Studios, Lekki.
Celebrities in attendance included Eva Alordiah, M.I Abaga, Vanessa from Tanzania, Uti Nwachukwu among others. The host for the event was the ever elegant Vimbai.
The remaining four contestants sang their hearts out at the finale. Shaapera sang "Girl on fire", Pascal - " All of me", Sikin - "Next to me" and Nandy - " Spotlight ".
Shaapera was announced winner after a moment of suspense. She now has the sum of $25,000 (twenty five thousand dollars) in her pockets, a recording contract and a tecno smart phone. She had indeed "owned the stage ". Congratulations Shaapera!
