NIGERIAN STUDENT FASHION AND DESIGN WEEK

The 3^rd edition of the Nigerian Students Fashion and Design Week commenced from the 15^th to the 18^th July 2015 with Winasbet , the Nigeria’s number 1 sports betting and gaming company continuing as the headline sponsor. The event was held at the prestigious University of Lagos.

This year’s edition was open to both student and non student designers. The panel of judges was made up of Yomi Casual, Ejiro Amos-Tafiri, Kola Kuddus, Onome Fasan and Tewa Onasanya who selected the Most Ccreative Designer from the Gala shows.

The NSFDW was founded by Black N Bold Fashion House; one of the biggest fashion promoting companies in Nigeria, in partnership with Africa Fashion Week London & Nigeria, organizers of the biggest African Fashion Weeks in the UK, Europe & Africa and Mahogany Productions; the biggest show production in England and Nigeria.

Hosts for the event included Olabode Saygee (OAP and Red Carpet Host and Compere), Ariyike Aakinbobola (Spice TV), Skills Unilag FM and Yemi Akamo. Artistes that performed included Tobi Grey, Yung Ace, Harry song, Jhybo, Reigny King among others.

The Most Creative Designer of this year’s Nigerian Student Fashion & Design Week was Hauwa Liman, the Creative Director of AFRIK ABAYA and a recent graduate of Bayero University Kano. Her showcase at the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria will be full funded by AFWN.
